This week we will join forces with a gravel ride and post-ride event at Jasper’s Tavern! Check out their ride and event description below. Please note while the full ride distance is 50 miles, it’s a lollipop style route with a long out-and-back, make it easy to shorten the ride to your desired length.
“Join us October 17th for a day all about bikes, get up close and personal with some of the best brands in the PNW, check out their products, get some for yourself, learn more about them and meet other members of your cycling community.
Who; You and your gravel bike.
What: Q/A sessions, raffle, giveaways, mixed road/gravel ride, KOM/QOM hill climb competition (otherwise this is a social ride).
Where: Start/Finish at Jasper's Tavern, 416 Main Street. Springfield, Or. 97477
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/37745648
Rolling terrain, optional QOM/KOM segment on Wallace Creek road (it's a dead end out and back)
If folks don't want to do the whole loop, the bread and butter of the ride is the loop around Fall Creek, it's a relatively short drive by car and loads of parking at the entrance, people can elect to just do the loop and then head back to Jasper's Tavern afterwards.
Generally, this ride is rolling terrain, a bit remote, gorgeous scenery and some fun gravel on the back side of Fall Creek and on Weyerhauser road, I've also tacked on a tour through the historic Dorris Ranch Filbert orchards on the way back to Jasper's.
When: Coffee/Pastries at 7:00am, roll out 9:00am events begin around 2pm - 5pm
Why: because bikes are great and so are you! Eat, drink and enjoy a great day on the bike in the Willamette Valley with some awesome people and vendors.”
