OBRA Team Time Trial Championship 2022

Parking, number pickup, and finish line at Coburg Community Charter School. The startline is behind the fire station south of the school. The 23.7 mile course can be found here. Teams will start at one minute intervals, with larger gaps between categories, starting at 12:00pm.

Team numbers will be provided. You can pick up during the number pick up for the individual TT (before 9:30) or from 11:30-12:00.

The course is flat and fast including two right hand turns. There will be signs with arrows marking each turn.

Entry Fees: $30 for Adults and $15 for Juniors. Each team must consist of 3 or 4 riders.

  • Registration will be open online at twilightoperations.com from until noon on August 12th. The startlist will be emailed to registered riders (or the email of the person completing the registrations) by noon on August 13th. No on-site registration will be available.

  • Team check In and number pick-up (numbers provided) will be open from 8:30-9:30am. Each rider (or their guardian) must have a signed waiver on file.

  • OBRA license required for all participants ($5 one-event license or $40 annual license, available at the time of registration or at obra.org); annual license required for placement on the OBRA championship podium.

Registration will be open one month before the event.

*Masters categories are organized by the combined racing age of the team members; the racing age of each member of a masters team must be 40 or greater. Your “racing age” for the 2022 season is your age on December 31, 2022.

# The entry category of the category-based teams (Cat 1/2, Cat 3 or Cat 4/5) is based on the team member with the highest category. Any combination of categories is acceptable, but if any of your team members is a Category 1/2 racer, the team is a Cat 1/2 team, and etc.

Prizes:

  • OBRA championship medals will be awarded to the fastest three teams in each category.

  • Champion jerseys will be awarded to category winners.

Important Race Information:

  • Your team’s third rider to cross the finish line will be scored.

  • The CENTERLINE will be enforced around the entire course. Traffic at intersections will be controlled for cornering IN YOUR LANE ONLY. Finishing teams will stay right and not cross center line to finish. Violations of this rule may result in disqualification upon the first offense. The roads are not closed, and all participants are expected to prioritize safety.

  • Overtaking groups should call out LOUDLY and pass on the left (but to the right of the centerline) while riding single file. Teams being overtaken should ride single file to the right side of the road. Do not block passing teams. Dropped 4th riders should stay politely to the right.

  • All starting riders must complete the race or communicate their withdrawal with the finishline OBRA officials.

Important Race Info:

Do not use the any part of the course for your warmup. It is recommended to use South River Loop (South of the fire station) or trainers/ rollers for warming up. DO NOT pass the start or finish lines unless you are racing. Officials may penalize racers for unnecessarily crossing the finish line wearing a number. Ride single file and staying to the right when riding the startline for your start time.

Helmets are required anytime you are on the bike, before, during, or after the race.
